Vasundhara Shankari Sellamuthu, A Day at the Call Centre, print on paper, 42 x 59.4 cm, 2011
This 'infographic' depicts the inverted circadian rhythm of a call centre employee in India. In order to suit the needs of cost-cutting multi-national companies, white-collar employees often work the night shift as they serve customers around the globe. Whilst pay and comforts of company provided meals and transport are obvious incentives, dire long-term consequences often point to unhealthy eating patterns, uncertain identities, and disconnect from family and friends.
